Informationen zum Host
The holiday apartment is located in the old town of Sassnitz, on the high bank, 17 m above sea level with a direct view of the Baltic Sea. From the living room you look out into the garden and the Baltic Sea. The property can be reached via a 20 m Wegerecht-Weg from the Karlstrasse. The apartment has a separate entrance. Under the canopy you can park and secure your bicycles. The living room is approx. 19 square meters, the bedroom approx. 11 square meters. The shower room is spacious with washstand and large mirror. The toilet and bidet are separate. The pantry has a two-burner ceramic hob, a small refrigerator as well as a microwave and a dishwasher. In the adjoining room there is a small sitting area as well as the infrared heat cabin. The living room is equipped with a 55" TV, as well as a DVD player and Marshall amplifier. In the bedroom there is a 2 x 2 king size bed. Optionally you can book the garden house as well. It is traditionally, nautically furnished and offers a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea. You have a reserved parking space no. 20 on the old town parking lot. On the neighboring property there is a new building, which is not yet finished.
Since vacationers "stray" to our property from time to time to admire the beautiful view, we thought: why not prepare our guest apartment as a holiday home. No sooner said than done and the result can be seen in the pictures and of course on site in nature. The apartment was enlivened with a lot of love for detail. Of course the history of seafaring was not to be missed. You will learn in pictures about the unfortunately closed down railway ferry line Sassnitz - Trelleborg, the "Royal Line" and about the work of a construction and blasting diver (Schwertaucher). And if the weather is a bit "snuffy"; good books and good music from a classic stereo system are waiting to be used. Let us surprise you. We are looking forward to your visit. Kind regards from Sassnitz Maria & Wilfried Werzner
Unfortunately, you can no longer observe the ferry service to and from Sweden. The Royal Line, which was inaugurated over 110 years ago by the monarchs of Germany and Sweden with a treaty between the Kingdom of Sweden and the German Empire, has been discontinued this year. It was the fastest and therefore most economical ferry connection between Germany and Sweden. Lobbyism, profit-seeking with the toleration of the state governments of MV and the Federal Republic of Germany have just more power than economic efficiency and CO2 savings. But back to the positive sides; the famous chalk coast of Rügen can be reached comfortably in 15 min walking distance via the beach promenade and the Kurplatz. Numerous restaurants are located in the surrounding area. For fish eaters we recommend restaurant "Kutterfisch" with a very good price-performance ratio. A walk on the pier, with 1.4 km it is the longest stone pier in Europe, is always worthwhile. "The Störtebeker Festival": They are a highlight on the island of Rügen and take place on one of the largest open-air stages in Europe. With 150 performers, horses, ships and many stunts. Klaus Störtebeker was the most notorious German pirate.
