Our property is located in scenic winery village of Ediger-Eller on the Mosel. Hiking the Calmont Klettersteig / Moselsteig is just steps away, as well as walking paths along the river and through the vineyards, and strolling the wending cobblestone streets through our sister villages to view the beautiful architecture of our buildings and homes. Because we are centrally located to other villages such as Cochem, Beilstein, Bernkastel-Kues, Trier and Koblenz, and so many guests enjoy our hosting and facilities, they stay multiple nights with us starting their day with our praised continental breakfast and do day trips to the other places of interest. All rooms have been newly renovated with laminate flooring in the bedrooms and tile floors in the bathrooms.
Brian and Arienne Wakefield feel blessed to live in Germany and particularly love our very special village of Ediger-Eller. Brian comes from the UK where he served 38 years in the Royal Air Force and Arienne is from America, While we have only reopened Gastehaus am Calmont in May 2019, we absolutely love to be hosts to our guests and try to make sure everyone's stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The motto we are using for our guesthouse came from comments from multiple guests....COME AS STRANGERS; LEAVE AS FRIENDS. We think that says it all!
