Alle Zimmer sind mit einem Flachbild-TV ausgestattet. Zudem verfügt jede Unterkunft über einen Sitzbereich zum Entspannen. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad mit einer Dusche. Kostenfreie Pflegeprodukte und ein Haartrockner liegen für Ihren Komfort bereit.

Aachen liegt 27 km vom Der kleine Globetrotter entfernt und den Rursee erreichen Sie mit dem Auto nach 30 Minuten. Der nächstgelegene Flughafen ist der 72 km von der Unterkunft entfernte Flughafen Köln/Bonn.

After buying this very special 300 year old house in 2014, I spent more than a year with renovations and alterations. In the process I learnt a lot about the house, for example that it was built on an old city wall, predating 1650, inclusive loop holes on two basement levels! The house has two guestrooms on each the first and the second floor. On the first floor there is a terrace, which can be used by guests, here smoking is allowed. Your breakfast I serve on the ground floor in the guest lounge, which can also be used over day and in the evenings. Here is an assortment of games, music (CD-Player) and books to sweeten your time. On both guest levels are tea and coffee making facilities, which can be used any time.

After living almost half my life overseas, I have 'landet' now in Monschau. Here I feel very comfortable and managed to fully utilise my interest in renovating old houses. I have travelled a lot in my life and have always brought interesting things back, which is now reflected in the style of my house. From my own travels I know that I always learnt the most about the country and the people when I didn't stay in big international hotels, but privately or in small guesthouses. Thus my idea to open a bed and breakfast place. I still enjoy travelling a lot, enjoy reading and am interested in people and everything new. I speak English and German fluently and French un petit peu.

Monschau is an old heritage-protected town, where most houses are easily 200 years old. There are lots of restaurants and cafes, quaint little shops, several museums and a craft market. My house is situated right in the middle of the old town in a quiet side street under the castle. The main street can be reached in 2 minutes via stairs. Monschau is situated at the northern end of the Eifel National Park. Here you find lots of hiking from short and easy to several days. The Eifelsteig goes right past my house. There is also a biking trail on an old rail track nearby, as is the Hohes Venn, a beautiful moor and forest area just 10 minutes from here in Belgium. Also not far is the Rursee, one of the biggest hydro lakes in Germany. Here you can hike, go by boat, swim and kayak. All in all a beautiful area in Germany and the closeness to Belgium and The Netherlands make it culturally even more attractive.
