We are a laid back Irish-Polish/German couple. We moved to Berlin about 11 years ago and are really loving it here. It's an amazing city and we are looking forward to sharing our favourite Berlin spots with you. We have prepared an extensive guide book for all our guests with many tips on what to do in Berlin, where to eat and where to go out in the evening. It also has a section for parents and tips for the winter and for the summer. All our apartments are all located in commercial spaces. They are legally allowed by the city of Berlin and do not take away living space from Berlin residents. So you can stay here without having bad a conscious about contributing to the city's housing issues. We are looking forward to hosting you in our apartments!

This 2 bedroom apartment is ideal for a family with children or friends who prefer the privacy and comfort of separate bedrooms. The apartment is situated in a residential building therefore NO PARTIES or loud behaviour allowed! The apartment is only suitable for quiet guests. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed (160x200), a wardrobe and a TV with Netflix. The second bedroom has a high bed (140x200), a couch, and a small desk. Both bedroom are overlooking the courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, including a hub, a microwave, a coffee maker, toaster and kettle. There is also a table with 4 chairs where you can sit comfortably and enjoy your breakfast. The apartment does not have a TV, that's why we recommend bringing a laptop. We are happy to share our Netflix account. The bathroom is also newly furnished and has a shower, sink, toilet and a hair dryer. MONITORING We use smart home technology to improve your experience. Minut is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, and allows us to respond to noise nuisances. Minut is privacy compliant.

The apartment is located on Straßmannstraße in the Friedrichshain district. On the same street as the apartment you will find a couple of local cafes, bars and restaurants. A little bakery is right opposite of the apartment where you can get fresh buns for your breakfast. 200 meters down the street is “Pomodorino”, one of Berlin’s best pizza joints. It's tasty, quick, authentic and cheap. Right opposite of Pomodorino is a playground, so on a sunny day you can grab a slice to go and enjoy the sun while watching your children play. 10 minutes’ walk down the main street is “Volkspark Friedrichshain”. This large and popular park, with a fairytale fountain, film showings and beer gardens, is a nice place for hanging out in the summer. Only 100 meters away from the apartment is the tram which will quickly take you to the East Side Gallery, Kreuzberg, or the Prenzlauer Berg. You can reach the Mitte district in about 20 minutes, where you can visit main Berlin attractions such as the Museum Island, the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) or Hackescher Markt. From there you can walk to the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial and Checkpoint Charlie.
