Burmesterhaus was built in 1860 and has been completely renovated in 2013. This house was among the first hotels in the area and now it features modern holiday apartments. The house has shared facilities for guests such as a garden, an outdoor equipment storage and a kitchen for bigger groups, up to 14 people staying in multiple apartments. Burmesterhaus is only a few minutes walk away from the pedestrian area in Berchtesgaden: the location is perfect both for going into the nature with its various hiking paths as well as visiting our cozy village centre with many restaurants, cafés and shops.

Hello, I am Marketta, the owner of Burmesterhaus and I run the daily operations here. My main goal is to make you feel welcome in our apartments and to help everyone to have the best holiday at the Alps. I am a sporty woman and I enjoy many activities from hiking to cross-country skiing, from zumba to yoga. Different cultures and languages are also my passion. Ecological choices are important to me.

Our location in Berchtesgaden and the nearby villages offers numerous things to see and experience for your whole holiday. Experience the incredible four seasons, magnificent mountains, lakes, historical town center of Berchtesgaden with its restaurants and beer gardens and wellness spas. Salzburg is only half an hour drive away and easily reachable by public transportation for a day trip. The national park of Berchtesgaden is a Unesco biosphere reserve. Besides the majestic nature, there is history and culture to enjoy. The salt mine of Berchtesgaden celebrated its 500th anniversary in 2017, and is still fully operational. You can explore the history of salt and salt mining in their guided tours. Eagle's Nest is also a popular attraction close by.
