Cozy apartment in a very calm neighborhood area on the hills of Markdorf. Its within walk distance from the forest where you can initiate a nice walk through the woods, 15 minutes by car to the lake constance, Meersburg or Friedrichshafen (very central in the constance lake region). You can reach the town center in 10 minutes by foot where you'll encounter a gorgeous 1200 years old medieval town with several dining and entertainment options. All around you'll find very beautiful wine, apple and pear fields which are typical products from the region. If you are here for the fair, Markdorf is only 18 minutes away. Please consider that this is a place to relax and enjoy but not meant for loud parties as it is within a residential complex.

We are a couple who have been living in this area after we fell in love with it over 9 years ago. My husband works as an engineer and I work as a teacher at several educational institutions in the region. We enjoy a lot the nature and going for hikes (there are many close by all around but we normally go to Markdorf, Deggenhausental, Bregenz and Allgäu). We also like dining in restaurants and have been systematically visiting many options nearby and have built up an educated opinion that we can very much share with you. In summer we like very much going to the lake to swim and enjoy the incredibly clean and refreshing water complete afternoons. We are happy to have you in our apartment and will happily share our knowledge of the area with you.

Markdorf is a town in the Bodensee district, in Baden-Württemberg, Southern Germany. It is situated near Lake Constance, 10 km northwest of Friedrichshafen. The little city was founded in 1225. With its historic downtown it is a beautiful tourist attraction. If you have enough from the city the beautiful landscape invites you to climb the "Gehrenberg", that is the little glacier endhill of the last ice age. On the top of the little mountain there is a 30m high tower from which's top you can enjoy a beautiful view over the biggest german lake, the swiss, austrian and german alps.
